Easily Spot VM Performance Spikes and Slumps

Each day, your data center may go through multiple spikes and slumps in performance that can equate to contention across the data center. Traditionally, it has been challenging to identify resources that have spiked in performance. Accurately showing the correlation of the impact of these spikes on other resources in the data center is difficult without visibility across hosts. Now, the CloudPhysics Aggregated Infrastructure Performance Card changes all that, enabling you to:

  • Quickly drill into a vCenter or group of hosts to immediately see the performance across the resources for a given period of time.
  • See how other resources are simultaneously impacted by spikes in utilization of CPU, memory, and disk throughput.
  • See a quick view of the data center’s primary analytics

Promptly Identify Spikes That Have Occurred

With advanced analytics, you can overlook spikes and focus on the 99th and 95th percentile of performance when determining the ideal size for a VM, host or cloud migration. With visibility into the 99th Percentile, 95th Percentile, Mean and Median values of CPU, RAM usage, storage IOPS, and network throughput, you can easily see which hosts may be actively consuming larger than normal quantities of resources. That lets you determine if you need to rebalance and tune resources. Percentiles also allow you to make long-term decisions regarding rightsizing and potential costs for cloud migration or re-platforming of VMs.
