HPE.com started migrating all existing external and internal facing applications to a new Single Sign On (SSO) and Identity Access Management (IAM) platform on April 21, 2022.

Before the April account migration, HPE CloudPhysics maintained a separate user identity and login process unrelated to the HPE SSO. We called these CloudPhysics User Accounts.

This new HPE User Account single sign-on service allows access to all HPE applications with one set of credentials. In April 2024, HPE CloudPhysics was added to this login and authentication platform. In this process, we are required to migrate all HPE CloudPhysics User Accounts to HPE User Accounts using HPE's single sign on service.

What this means to existing users:

  • The new system enables HPE Customers, HPE Partners, and HPE Employees to access multiple HPE services with a single login and a single email address.
  • If your existing User ID is not an email address, the new SSO application will convert your User ID to an email address.
  • New security features are available for use, such as Multifactor Authentication (MFA)

The New Login Process

We have streamlined much of the login process for users who have already logged into an HPE service. This login process will allow you to move between HPE services without requiring new authentication. This process also ensures a more secure login and allows for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to be enabled for users where security is paramount.

The first time you log in with the new HPE SSO, the new login process will require to you authenticate with the HPE SSO service and then connect your account to your existing HPE CloudPhysics user account. This process will redirect you back to HPE CloudPhysics where we will validate your identity and allow you access to your default account. This process is a One-time connection process between the two unique user management platforms. After the initial connection, your login will be managed by the HPE SSO service.

Your user email address will be your HPE IAM / SSO identity. If you have an existing HPE CloudPhysics User account but do not have an HPE User account, you will need to register your HPE CloudPhysics User account as a new HPE Account User before you can connect the accounts. Details on the steps can be found below for each use case.

I am an HPE Customer, and my Organization wants a new portal

HPE CloudPhysics is an invitation-based platform where HPE Partners invite HPE Customers to assessments. If you want access to HPE CloudPhysics, please contact your HPE Account Team, HPE Partner, or HPE Reseller and request that your organization is invited to an HPE CloudPhysics Assessment.

I am an HPE Customer, and my Organization already has a portal, but I require access

Once an organization exists, the first user of an organization will be the ADMIN and controls access for other users of your organization. This means the ADMIN of an organization must invite additional users to your company portal. Users should always be of the same email domain as your primary account admin and should never include HPE Employees or HPE Partners.

If you do not know who your HPE CloudPhysics ADMIN for your organization is, please contact cloudphysics@hpe.com and indicate that you would like to be invited to your organization portal and notify your ADMIN that you have requested access. The admin of your organization will need to validate your identity before they grant you access to the portal. HPE cannot add users to HPE Partner or HPE Customer portals as we do not know your relationship to the confidential data of your data center. Only your organization admin can invite new users. If your HPE CloudPhysics ADMIN has departed, notify cloudphysics@hpe.com.

Common Login Support Topics (Partners and Customers)

If you have an HPE CloudPhysics User Account and an HPE SSO Account.

If you already have an HPE SSO Service account associated with you’re the same email address you used in HPE CloudPhysics then your login process would typically follow these steps:

    1. Access the Login Page: Navigate to the login page of the HPE CloudPhysics platform at https://app.cloudphysics.com

    2. Enter Email Address: In the provided field, enter your email address associated with your HPE CloudPhysics account.

    3. Click Next: After entering the email address, click on the "Next" button.

    4. Enter Password: Upon clicking "Next", the HPE SSO Service will generate a prompt asking you to enter your password associated with your HPE CloudPhysics email ID.

    5. Enter Password and Login: Enter your password into the prompted field and then click on the "Sign In" button.

    6. Authentication and Access: The HPE SSO Service will authenticate your credentials. If the provided email and password are correct and match the records, you will be granted access to your HPE CloudPhysics account.

This process allows users with existing HPE SSO Service accounts to seamlessly log in to their HPE CloudPhysics account using their registered email address and password.

If you have an HPE CloudPhysics User Account but NO HPE SSO Account.

In the scenario where the user exists in CloudPhysics but not in HPE SSO Service, the process for creating an HPE account would be as follows:

    1. Access the Login Page: The user navigates to the CloudPhysics login page.

    2. Click on 'Need an HPE Account': On the login page, there's a button labelled "Need an HPE account." The user clicks on this button to initiate the account creation process.

    3. Enter CloudPhysics Account Email: On the next page, the user is prompted to enter their existing CloudPhysics account email address into a designated field.

    4. Create Password: The user is then asked to create a password for their new HPE account. They will need to choose a strong password that meets any specified requirements (e.g., minimum length, combination of letters, numbers, and special characters).

    5. Select Country of Residence: Additionally, the user is required to select their country of residence from a dropdown menu or through another method of selection.

    6. Submit: After entering all the necessary information, the user submits the form. The system then processes the data provided and creates an HPE account associated with the provided CloudPhysics email address.

    7. Confirmation: Upon successful creation, the user may receive a confirmation email. The user will need to click on the link in the email to authenticate.

This process ensures that users who have existing accounts in CloudPhysics but not in HPE SSO Service can seamlessly create an HPE account using their CloudPhysics email address.

If you have an HPE CloudPhysics User Account but a different email address for your HPE SSO Account.

In the scenario where the user exists in both CloudPhysics and HPE SSO Service with separate email IDs, the process for logging in and linking the existing CloudPhysics account with the HPE account would involve the following steps:

    1. Access the Login Page: The user navigates to the login page of the CloudPhysics portal.

    2. Enter CloudPhysics Email ID: In the provided field, the user enters their CloudPhysics email ID.

    3. Click Next: After entering the email address, the user clicks on the "Next" button.

    4. Enter CloudPhysics Password: Upon clicking "Next", the system prompts the user to enter their CloudPhysics account password.

    5. Authentication and Prompt: The system authenticates the provided CloudPhysics credentials. If the authentication is successful, and the user receives a prompt indicating that the portal couldn't find an CloudPhysics account associated with an HPE account.

    6. Enter HPE Account Details: The user is then prompted to enter the separate HPE account credentials (email ID and password) associated with their HPE account.

    7. Link CloudPhysics Account with HPE Account: After entering the HPE account credentials, the system verifies the information and links the existing CloudPhysics account with the provided HPE account.

    8. Confirmation: Once the linking process is complete, the user can access their CloudPhysics account using the credentials (email ID and password) of their linked HPE account.

This process allows users with separate CloudPhysics and HPE accounts to link them together for seamless access to their CloudPhysics account using their HPE account credentials.

If you are an HPE Partner

Once an organization exists, the first user of an organization will be the ADMIN and controls access for other users of your organization. This means the ADMIN of an organization must invite additional users to your company portal. Users should always be of the same email domain as your primary account admin and should never include HPE Employees or HPE Partners.

If you do not know who is your HPE CloudPhysics ADMIN for your organization, please contact cloudphysics@hpe.com and indicate that you would like to be invited to your organization portal and notify your ADMIN that you have requested access.

If you are an HPE Employee

All HPE employees already have an HPE SSO account as part of their HPE employee user account. This account will be linked to your HPE CloudPhysics account automatically.

  • If you have an existing HPE CloudPhysics account, we will automatically link these accounts after you provide your login credentials for HPE SSO

  • If you do not have an HPE CloudPhysics user account, one will be created upon login to the HPE SSO and you will be placed into the HPE sales geography associated with your HPE profile country.

  • If you require access to a different HPE sales geography, please contact cloudphysics@hpe.com and indicate that you will require access to a different HPE sales geography.
